About Peak Performance Therapy, LLC.

Alex LaPierre LMT, ESMT, CCMT

An image of me, Alex LaPierre gently applying pressure with my right thumb into the calf of a client lying face down on a massage table.

As a child, I learned that the name Alex meant helper/defender of mankind.  Since learning the meaning of my name, I've taken it to heart.  I love helping others!  I love sharing the power and magic of myofascial release.  And, I love empowering my clients to get out of pain and stay out of pain naturally with myofascial release.

My myofascial release (MFR) experience started when I threw my back out in traditional physical therapy.  I sought out a myofascial release practitioner trying to remedy problems that traditional physical therapy caused.  I was amazed at the results I felt within just 3 sessions.  MFR changed my life completely, and I went back to school for massage therapy to specialize in John F. Barnes' version of MFR.

Most recently, the principles of JFB MFR have helped me to avoid back surgery for a L4-L5 disc herniation.

In my spare time, I enjoy riding with my horse Bacardi (he's half mustang and full of spirit).  We enjoy basic dressage for balance and suppleness and also hitting the trails.  Bacardi also helps me teach the basics to gentle horsemanship.  When I'm not riding, teaching, or self-treating with MFR, I'm usually hiking with my dogs Aoife and Zac, reading a good book, or enjoying medical dramas.

Myofascial Release = Relief

I help humans and horses realize their peak performance potential through the gentle therapy of Myofascial Release.  This treatment provides a gentle decompression of the mind, body and soul.  Further, it helps to relieve pain, stiffness and feeling "stuck."  I help clients to postpone, avoid and/or recover from heavy medications, uncomfortable injections and unwanted procedures.*
